About Us
The definition of "Agape" in Greek is "unconditional love".
Agape Silicon Valley is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We are a 100% volunteer organization with no paid employees. We believe that any individual who has their basic needs met will make better decisions daily. Our unconditional love and consistent service is the key to building relationships and trust with our unhoused friends and neighbors.
On the last Saturday of each month, we deliver food, water, supplies and clothing to 20 different unhoused communities in Santa Clara and Alameda counties. We also do intake forms for the unhoused individual. These intake questionnaires can provide numerous benefits and resources and help lead them to becoming housed. Throughout the week, we are in regular contact with our unhoused friends.
The food and supplies are our tools to gain trust—but they are merely a first step. Once trust is built, we find success in helping match our unhoused friends with the vast resources available to them from large non-profits and government agencies.
